ATTORNEYS - SHEILA HEIDMILLER
Sheila Heidmiller

SHEILA HEIDMILLER received her undergraduate degree (magna cum laude) and master’s degree (with distinction in part) from Colorado State University, and her law degree from Seattle University School of Law.

Ms. Heidmiller practices in the areas of trademark, copyright, trade secret, licensing, and website compliance. The bulk of her practice is trademark protection, enforcement, and litigation. She also provides a full suite of website compliance services, including drafting privacy policies, drafting terms and conditions of use, counseling clients on how to comply with the numerous laws governing operation of a website (defamation, libel, slander, protection and infringement of intellectual property, advertising and promotions, use of message boards and forums, etc.). She also developed and performs Website Legal Audits - Don’t Let Your Content Byte You.® This is a service designed to help mitigate needless potential liability associated with the operation of a website.

Prior to joining Macheledt Bales & Heidmiller, Ms. Heidmiller was with the Phoenix firm of Lewis and Roca LLP and, prior to that, the Seattle firms of Holland & Knight LLP; Schwabe, Williamson & Wyatt; Holland & Knight LLP; and Perkins Coie. Ms. Heidmiller is currently admitted to practice law in Arizona. She is also admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.

Ms. Heidmiller has written numerous articles in the area of intellectual property and website compliance, and makes frequent presentations to the legal and business communities.
